Bury player scout Ronnie Moore is keen to manage again and has declared his interest in becoming the new boss at Accrington.
Stanley are looking for a new boss after John Coleman ended his 13-year association with the club on Tuesday when he took over at League One Rochdale.
Former Rotherham and Tranmere manager Moore, who has been working as a scout for Bury since his departure from the Millers last March, is keen to succeed Coleman.
"They are a progressive club who just missed out on the play-offs last year and they are chasing promotion again this season," Moore said.
"I know League Two better than most people and my CV is on the way."
