Aldershot boss Dean Holdsworth will continue his hunt for strikers next week after seeing his side edged out by Cheltenham.
Luke Summerfield's drive after just 10 minutes and a late breakaway goal from Kaid Mohamed handed the home side all three points but the Shots boss thought his side deserved something from the game.
"It is a bittersweet feeling at the moment," he explained. "We have put in a performance like that and we have created a number of chances and played some excellent stuff.
"I asked for that before the game but if you would have said we would create that many chances and not score then it would have been difficult to believe.
"We are just that cutting edge away from winning games and that is such a fine line. We were in control of the game but they have had one breakaway and scored.
"We have tried all week to get a couple of centre-forwards in to try and take the pressure off Danny Hylton. Sometimes you have to bring in a couple of fresh faces and I'm hoping to get some answers the start of next week as it's what we need at the moment - a fresh face to put the ball in the net."
