Dean Holdsworth praised his young Aldershot side as they kept their League Two play-offs hopes alive with a 4-0 triumph over Burton.
Peter Vincenti gave the Shots the lead when he drilled home a low shot from 10 yards in the first half. Wilko Risser headed the visitors further in front in the 61st minute and Guy Madjo cashed in on feeble defending from the Brewers to score twice in six minutes late on.
The odds are stacked against Aldershot making a play-off berth, but Holdsworth was pleased with the response.
He said: "The big question I put to the lads before the game was whether they could go on from the Swindon game with the same form, attitude and desire. They've done that - and I'm proud of them. They've done themselves the world of good as individuals and as a group of people.
"There's a lot of young kids in that squad at the moment and there's been pressure on them to perform, but they've been fantastic - absolutely brilliant.
"We matched them up with a 4-4-2 in the first half and changed it second half with a lad sitting in the hole. I think once we got the ball down and played we came up with some clinical goals."
