Aldershot goalkeeper Jamie Young believes he has proved people wrong with his performances this season.
The Australian heads home this summer but hopes his future remains with the Shots.
"We had a really strong finish and you can wonder what might have happened but from my point of view I feel that I have proved a lot of people wrong," he told the club's official website.
"I have always believed in myself. There are a lot of times as a goalkeeper where people will point the blame at you to shield themselves and you have to be strong in that sense.
"I am going back to Australia next week and I will have a talk to the manager and we will see what happens. I will see what the club wants to do.
"I don't know what is going to happen but if I get offered another deal then that would be very satisfying for me because it means the work being put in is being appreciated. We shall see what happens."
