The Shots have a host injury concerns ahead of their home clash.

First-choice goalkeeper Jamie Young was taken to hospital having suffered concussion in the second half of Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Bradford and is unlikely to be risked so soon. Glenn Morris, who came on at Valley Parade, is again on standby.

Captain Ben Herd followed him off the pitch just nine minutes later suffering with severe cramp but he is hopeful of being okay to face the third-placed Brewers.

Striker Danny Hylton and left-back Anthony Tonkin missed the game altogether due to injuries sustained in training during the week and both will be assessed before the encounter.

Lionel Ainsworth returned to the bench at the weekend after injury to join fit-again Jeff Goulding in the matchday 18, although defender Troy Brown remains in the treatment room.

Albion head to Hampshire having come through Saturday’s victory over Cheltenham with no new problems.

Following a 3-0 defeat at Bristol Rovers, Brewers boss Gary Rowett changed his starting line-up for the first time in five matches against the Robins.

There was only one change as Zander Diamond replaced the unfortunate Marcus Holness at centre-half, but the skipper did not put a foot wrong on his return and looks likely to keep his place in the team.

After such an impressive performance against one of their promotion rivals, Rowett could again name an unchanged side.

Should he wish to make any changes though, he has the likes of Holness, fellow defender Andrew Corbett, midfielders Jack Dyer and Adam Drury and strikers Calvin Zola and Matthew Paterson to call upon.

Victory over the Shots combined with defeat for Port Vale at Bristol Rovers would see Burton move up to second place in the league.

Peter Vincenti will return to the Aldershot side.

Midfielder Vincenti was left out of the squad which drew 2-2 at Stevenage last weekend as part of a gentleman’s agreement between the sides following his January move.

However, Vincenti may be left on the bench after he saw his replacement Alex Rodman score two fine goals at Broadhall Way.

Captain Anthony Charles will make his 350th career appearance and will be partnered in the heart of defence by Darren Jones.

Forward Jack Randall broke his leg while on loan at Didcot Town recently and is a long-term absentee as the Shots look to continue their fine form – having lost just twice since Dean Holdsworth took charge in January.

Burton boss Paul Peschisolido has revealed that defender Nathan Stanton requires a groin operation and will miss the rest of the season.

Stanton has been struggling with a recurrence of a groin problem and will now miss three to four weeks as he goes under the knife.

Long-term absentee Paul Boertien (groin) is unlikely to make the trip to Aldershot, but Peschisolido believes he could yet make the Bank Holiday Monday clash with Torquay.

The Brewers have one or two other players nursing minor niggles, but Peschisolido, who will be back in the dugout after serving a one-match touchline ban against Bradford in midweek, would not identify those who require late checks.

On-loan striker Sam Winnall remains suspended, but full-back Scott Malone, fellow defender Tom Parkes and midfielder Adam Bolder are available for recalls.
