Transfer Clockwatch - Deadline Day

Tuesday 31st January 2012 8:27

The winter transfer window slammed shut at 11pm and TEAMtalk kept you up to date with all the business in a live Deadline Day clockwatch.

For all your transfer window needs, make sure you keep TEAMtalk's Transfer Centre open. It contains all the latest transfer talk, rumours and news, a full list of every deal completed by a Premier League club so far this month, and even a place for you to send in your own rumours. Go there now!

00:30: Spurs have confirmed Roman Pavlyuchenko's exit to Lokomotiv Moscow but there is not yet any confirmation of a move for Ryan Nelsen.

23:46: Steven Pienaar has returned to Everton on loan until the end of the season, while Sevilla are understood to be trying to take Giovanni Dos Santos on loan from Tottenham. Does Harry still have something up his sleeve?

Norwich have signed Ryan Bennett before sending him back to Peterborough for the rest of the season. The Canaries earlier failed to agree a fee with Tottenham to make Kyle Naughton's loan deal a permanent one.

23:00: And that's it. Except, it's not...

Sebastien Bassong has joined Wolves on loan, Nicky Maynard has completed his move from Bristol City to West Ham, while Danny Higginbotham is heading to Nottingham Forest on loan.

22:50: Bobby Zamora is a QPR player after signing a two-and-a-half-year contract at Loftus Road.

David Pizarro has left the Etihad Stadium after putting the finishing touches to his move to Manchester City. The Roma midfielder has joined the Premier League leaders on loan until the end of the season.

22:46: Peterborough's Ryan Bennett is currently having a medical at Norwich, who, if they do the deal in time, will loan the defender back to Posh until the end of the season.

22:43: Celtic have been knocked back in their attempt to take Leon Best on loan from Newcastle.

22:40: Keith Andrews has left Blackburn to join West Brom, while the deal to take Stuttgart striker Pavel Pogrebnyak to Fulham on a six-month contract has finally been confirmed.

22:30: Redknapp was in a talkative mood. He tried and failed to get Milos Krasic on loan, so Steven Pienaar's loan to Everton appears off, despite the midfielder's desperation to return to Goodison.

Redknapp is also hoping to sign Ryan Nelsen from Blackburn, in which case, Sebastien Bassong could join Wolves on loan.

Saha's six-month loan, though, is complete.

22:10 This evening's games have all finished so we're expecting the brief lull in transfer activity to come to an abrupt end, with just 50 minutes remaining of the window.

Harry Redknapp has told SSN after Spurs' win that he's close to signing Louis Saha, while Roman Pavlyuchenko is talking to Lokomotiv Moscow.

21:10: After seeing one youngster walk out of Old Trafford, Manchester United have quickly announced the arrival of another: Frederic Veseli - a defensive prospect who has defected from Manchester City.

Veseli is "a versatile, cultured defender who is comfortable on the ball", according to United's official website. We'll take their word for it.

20:40: Utterly bizarre scenes at Goodison as a fan handcuffs himself to Joe Hart's goal during the first half. Presumably not in protest at the signing of Nikica Jelavic, who has completed his move to Everton on a four-and-a-half-year deal.

20:05: Tonight's games are underway but the transfer news keeps coming in.

Ravel Morrison has completed his move from Manchester United to West Ham. Sir Alex Ferguson could not tame the gifted youngster and Barca, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City decided he was not worth the risk. Good luck with that one, Big Sam...

19:30: Team news for tonight's games has arrived here at TEAMtalk Towers.

Tottenham target Louis Saha is NOT in the Everton squad to face Manchester City. Spurs have put Steven Pienaar on the bench against Wigan, who have named Hugo Rodallega amongst their substitutes.

Newcastle and Wigan target Adrian Mariappa is in the Watford team to face Millwall.

19:15: Sunderland have brought ex-Liverpool defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos back to the Premier League. The Greek centre-back has joined on loan for the remainder of the season.

Arsenal have signed an attacking midfielder from Borussia Dortmund. No, not Mario Goetze. The man/boy in question is Thomas Eisfeld, a Germany youth international.

Jelavic is back at Goodison Park and will join Everton this evening.

18:25: QPR's move for Bobby Zamora is still yet to be completed, as Sky Sports understands that while a medical is being completed, personal terms are yet to be agreed. The Fulham striker is reportedly asking for big money to make the short move across London.

18:15: Yorkshire Post sports editor @MReederYPSport has claimed on Twitter that Blackburn have had a bid rejected by Leeds for Robert Snodgrass.

18:00: Sky Sports understands Roma midfielder David Pizarro has arrived in Manchester for his medical with City.

17:40: Aside from trying to stop Spurs at White Hart Lane tonight, Wigan look likely to be busy right up until the deadline. They have been linked with one of QPR's army of strikers, DJ Campbell, while Adrian Mariappa has reportedly turned down a move to the DW Stadium after the Latics had a bid accepted by Watford.

17:30: SSN's Nick Collins is reporting that Wigan's Hugo Rodallega will not be involved against Tottenham tonight. Numerous clubs have been linked with the striker, with Latics chairman Dave Whelan admitting earlier that only Andy Johnson's reluctance to move north stopped a swap deal with Fulham. With Bobby Zamora looking likely to join QPR, perhaps the Cottagers' interest remains?

17:25: Rangers appear to have moved on already from Holt, with our Sky Sports colleagues reporting that St Johnstone striker Francisco Sandaza is their next target.

Away from Glasgow - a long way away - Inter Milan have confirmed that they have signed Porto midfielder Fredy Guarin on a six-month loan deal with a view to a permanent move.

17:05: Nikica Jelavic has left Goodison Park, but SSN's Vinny O'Connor assures us that he's been assured that the striker will return after "freshening up" and will sign for Everton before tonight's game against Manchester City.

Rangers have clearly accepted that Jelavic isn't coming back as they have had a bid for Grant Holt rejected by Norwich.

16:25: One player who isn't going anywhere is Andy O'Brien, who is being given a chance to resurrect his Leeds career after being treated for depression. Interesting story, the details of which you can read here.

16:15: Ian Watson here, taking over from Matt Briggs to guide you through the Jim White hours and past the 11pm deadline. To get me started; Liam Ridgewell has continued his tour of the Midlands by leaving Birmingham to join West Brom on a permanent deal.
