Martin Allen admits he would take the full-time managerial job with Barnet if it was offered to him.

Allen returned to Underhill for his third stint last month and won two of his three games in charge to guide them clear of relegation on the final day of the season.

Allen's short-term contract has now ended but he told BBC's Late Kick-Off: "I believe it's possible to get Barnet back into the play-offs and challenging.

"Last year when I took over at Notts County they were doomed but after getting them safe we rebuilt the squad and the same can be done at Barnet. And that does interest me.

"I'd like to think there is room for a good challenge to get to League One."
