John Oster and Craig Beattie are doubts for Barnet.

Former Everton midfielder Oster has sat out the last three matches with a hamstring injury and is not expected to recover in time.

Ex-Celtic and Swansea striker Beattie was also forced to miss last weekend’s 2-1 defeat at Plymouth with a hamstring problem and he will be checked over.

Player-manager Edgar Davids has drafted in Watford midfielder Ross Jenkins on a month’s loan so he could make his debut.

Davids is still without forwards Ricky Holmes (foot) and Steve Kabba (knee) but Luke Gambin pushed his claims for a start with a goal for the reserves in midweek and fellow striker Jamal Lowe is back from a loan spell at Boreham Wood.

Andy Parrish remains Morecambe’s only injury doubt.

Parrish has been sidelined in recent weeks with a thigh problem and will be assessed ahead of the trip to Underhill.

The Shrimps are enjoying a rich vein of form, winning five of their past eight matches, but goalkeeper Barry Roche believes the struggling Bees will provide them with a stern test.

He said: “It’s always tough when you go to Barnet, no matter what position they are in the league, it’s always a tough place to go.

“We’ve seen that over recent years where we’ve had a couple of really good battles with them.

“They’re in desperate need of the points so it’s a good game and a game we’re all looking forward to.”

Forward Jordan Burrow is pushing for inclusion after bagging a brace during Morecambe’s 2-0 reserve win over Tranmere in midweek.

Izale McLeod and Darren Dennehy could return to the Barnet squad for the visit of Morecambe.

Top scorer McLeod missed last weekend’s 2-1 win at Port Vale with a stomach injury but the Bees are hopeful he will be fit.

Centre-half Dennehy also failed to make the trip due to a foot injury and he will be checked over ahead of kick-off.

New signing Ben May is set to keep his place in attack after a debut goal at Vale Park while winger Adam Yiadom may have earned a start after climbing off the bench to hit the winner.

Full-back Danny Senda and striker Steve Kabba are still out with long-term knee injuries and winger Mark Marshall remains suspended.

Meanwhile, Morecambe manager Jim Bentley hopes to have top scorer Kevin Ellison.

Ellison, whose personal tally for the campaign stands at 16, has been plagued by an ongoing back problem in recent months and missed last weekend’s defeat to Hereford with a muscle strain.

In his last appearance, Ellison bagged a brace as the Shrimps overcame promotion-chasing Cheltenham 3-1 at the Globe Arena.

Veteran defender Nick Fenton could provide Bentley with a timely boost in defence having returned to training ahead of schedule following a calf injury.

Morecambe’s squad looks decidedly threadbare at the back after on-loan Manchester United youngster Sean McGinty returned to Old Trafford this week with a dislocated shoulder, while full-back Laurence Wilson is out for the season with a fractured knee cap.

Midfielder Andy Fleming (knee) is another long-term absentee, but Jack Redshaw is poised for a first start in attack on the back of some impressive cameos from the bench.

Rossi Jarvis is in line for a return as Barnet face a crucial match against fellow strugglers Morecambe.

The 22-year-old midfielder missed the Bees’ 2-1 win over Hereford after being shown a red card in the previous match.

Southampton loanee Anthony Pulis could retain his place in the side if Jarvis is not handed a start.

Striker Steve Kabba is nearing fitness following a hamstring injury, but is not likely to feature.

In his absence, Izale McLeod will continue up front as he looks to add to his nine goals this season.

Barnet surrendered a two-goal lead to end up with a point when the two sides met at the Globe Arena in September.

Morecambe have been boosted by the arrival of Blackburn winger Zac Aley ahead of the trip to relegation rivals Barnet.

The 19-year-old has moved to the Globe Arena on an emergency loan until the end of the season.

He has yet to make his first-team debut for Rovers but has scored two goals in 12 appearances for the club’s reserve side this season.

Shrimps boss Sammy McIlroy again looks set to be without goalkeeper Barry Roche because of a thigh injury.

Joe Anyon will therefore line up between the posts again as McIlroy’s men bid to ease their relegation fears.

Defender Paul Scott is stepping up his fitness but is set to remain absent as he recovers from a knee operation.
