Blackburn midfielder Jason Lowe is focused on the task in hand at Ewood Park but admits an Olympic call-up is at the back of his mind.
Lowe was contacted in December to say he is under consideration for selection by Stuart Pearce, with whom he has worked for England Under-21s.
Although the provisional list is 184 players long, Lowe is keen to get the call.
"The Olympics is at the back of my mind a little bit," the 20-year-old told the Lancashire Telegraph. "I was included in the first list but it's a long squad and I think it gets narrowed down some time in March and finalised in June.
"It would be nice to get the nod in there but I'm not thinking about that at the moment.
"I'll take that as it comes and see what happens. It's not what I'm concentrating at this moment in time. Playing well for Blackburn is all I'm bothered about."
