Chelsea's cup of cheer, Carroll's Liverpool clincher and the PFA awards nominees - they're all discussed on the new TEAMtalk Podcast.

The new TEAMtalk Podcast is here! Listen via the Mixcloud player below, or download it for free as an MP3 file from our Media section. The Podcast is also available on iTunes.

Jon Holmes is this week's host, and he is joined in the studio by his TEAMtalk colleague James Marshment and special guest Sarah Winterburn, the editor of Football365.com.

This week's talking points...

Top Drog helps sink Spurs, Carroll king for Reds

Was Juan Mata's 'ghost goal' a convenient get-out for a poor Tottenham display as they lost 5-1 to Chelsea in Sunday's FA Cup semi-final? We hear from Frank Lampard and Harry Redknapp on the controversial Wembley decision - while Sarah and James are much more keen to discuss the power of Didier Drogba, and Chelsea's chances of beating Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday.

As for the other FA Cup semi, Sarah believes Andy Carroll's winning goal helped to mask Liverpool's deficiencies, while our trio ponder the future for Everton and David Moyes after their crushing disappointment.

There's also Your Say contributions from Chelsea fans k_man7 and chuckyeager, and Everton supporter robdunf.

Six of the best - PFA awards nominees

So it's van Persie leading the race for the PFA Player of the Year gong, with Rooney, Aguero, Silva, Hart and Parker making up the numbers.

The Young Player vote looks much closer - Aguero is surely the favourite, but Bale, Walker, Sturridge, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Welbeck might fancy their chances.

We discuss the shortlists, and James and Sarah tell us what changes they would have made to the selection of nominees. There's a lot of love for Tim Krul and Juan Mata out there, to name but two, while Jon bangs the drum for one of Swansea's starlets...

Title race talk, survival scrap

Manchester City may have won 6-1 at Norwich at the weekend but Roberto Mancini says winning the Premier League is still "impossible". James and Sarah give their views on City after a dose of Tevez perked them up.

Attention then turns to Old Trafford, where Ashley Young took a tumble against his old club. We discuss the latest diving row, and ask - would you have Welbeck or Carroll leading the line for England at Euro 2012?

At the bottom, it was another bleak day for Blackburn, with our Podcasters in agreement that their days among the elite are numbered after a 3-0 defeat at Swansea. Winty names the team she thinks will be relegated alongside Rovers and QPR, while James feels Rangers still have a good chance of getting out of danger.

Football League ups and downs

With Sarah at Oakwell on Saturday to see Cardiff beat Barnsley, we assess the state of play in the Championship promotion race as six-goal West Ham turn up the heat on Southampton. There's commiserations to Doncaster and congratulations to Charlton and Fleetwood, plus we also mourn the sad passing of Piermario Morosini at Serie B's Livorno.
