Mills & Boom: City to make transfer splash

admin

Welcome to my second Mills & Boom column of the 2012-13 season.

As I informed you all last week it’s all change this season as the TEAMtalk lads are putting up an audio link of our interviews for you listen to – then comment on.

As ever I’ll be discussing all the major talking points from the Premier League action, and this week I’m focusing on Manchester City and the problem they face if they lose Aguero for months rather than weeks.

Man City got their title defence off to a winning start on Sunday, although it was far from convincing and if the injury to Aguero proves to be a long-term one, then I reckon City will delve into the transfer market.

Sunday’s other game saw Chelsea dispose of Wigan and I was impressed with the Blues and their new £32million man Eden Hazard. The Belgian looked like a real livewire and I think he will provide the attacking spark Chelsea need to challenge for the title.

I also reflect on the dying art of defending after 26 goals in the opening weekend of the Premier League, and finally I believe the arrival of Robin van Persie at Manchester United will give United the edge over Everton on Monday night.

Cheers
