Chairman Eddie Mitchell wants Bournemouth to be an established Championship club as he celebrates his first three years at the helm.
Friday marks a milestone since Mitchell's arrival at Dean Court in 2009, with the Cherries chief reflecting on the progress made during a rollercoaster journey from struggling cash-strapped League Two club to financially stable promotion-chasing League One outfit.
But Mitchell is not prepared to stop yet as he looks to help guide Bournemouth into the second tier of English football for only the second time in their history.
"It would be a success if we could establish ourselves in the Championship, it would exceed everybody's expectations but it's not unrealistic if we can build the club the way we are planning to," Mitchell told Bournemouth's official website.
"The club is in a very sound position. The facilities are improving every day and we have ironed out almost every problem the club had. I've got a new partner on board and I think he takes more enjoyment from the club than he does anything else in his life. I think we can achieve great things.
"Every day we are writing history at the club and I've got the appetite to take it as far as we've ever been before. I don't want to build a team that goes up and comes down again. I'm determined to build a club that becomes a bigger club."
