FL Hour: RoboCop hails Mowbray

admin

Also on Thursday’s show was Cardiff’s Joe Mason, Blackpool’s Kevin Phillips, Exeter manager Paul Tisdale plus Dean Windass and Aldershot’s Guy Branston in the studio.

Friend heaps praise on Mowbray’s management style, Phillips talks about the comments from new Blackpool boss Michael Appleton saying he has a big part to play at Bloomfield Road.

Phillips, Branston and Windass have a heated discussion about the players at Peterborough who were transfer listed after going on a night out. Windass and Branston discuss in depth Phil Brown not getting the Hartlepool job and Tisdale has some advice for Branston and he reveals he’s an ambassador for Ted Baker!

Friend said: “Tony (Mowbray) is brilliant at picking the right team for the right opponents. It sounds simple, but so many managers stick to the same team, but he mixes it up depending on the opponent and I think we’ve had around 16 different scorers this season.”

Listen here what Friend had to say.

Mason said: “I don’t set goal targets in case you hit it and then fall off a bit. My job is just to get as many goals as possible. I don’t go into games thinking I’m going to score, I just hope I get a chance and then hope I can convert it.”

Listen here what Mason had to say.
