Director Mark Chapman has stepped down from Brentford's board with immediate effect.

Chapman, who has been a director representing the supporters' trust Bees United for two years, will take up a position in the club's communication department.

He told the club's official website: "For the last two years, it has been a tremendous honour and privilege to represent Bees United on the club's board of directors.

"I am immensely proud of what the trust has achieved in securing the mid-term future of the football club.

"I believe that with Matthew Benham's imminent ownership, the club will be in excellent hands."
