Nathan Clarke is open to the idea of joining Bury on a permanent basis this summer.
The on-loan Huddersfield centre-back has impressed for the Shakers since crossing the Pennines at the start of March, helping Richie Barker's side move to within touching distance of npower League Two survival.
Clarke, 28, is out of contract at the Galpharm Stadium at the end of the current campaign and has also spent loan spells with Colchester and Oldham over the past two seasons.
"I don't want to be moving about and the uncertainty, it doesn't help," Clarke told the Manchester Evening News.
"Knowing a few of the lads has made it easier. They're a great group and they've really helped me settle in. It always helps being able to live at home, near my family, which is ideal.
"You never know what's around the corner but while I'm here I've been totally focused, wanting to make sure I do my bit for the team. If something comes off the back of that with my parent club then brilliant, but in the meantime, I feel as if I'm doing as well as I can do here."
