Bury boss Richie Barker was happy to reflect on a job well done despite a disappointing goalless derby draw with Oldham.

The Shakers secured their npower Lerague One survival the previous week and Barker praised his players overall efforts after his side started the season as favourites for relegation.

Barker, whose side sit in the top half of the table with a game to go, said: "We've more than achieved our objective. With a game to go we're in the top half and you look at the teams we're mixing with up there.

"If you look at the other team who came up with us automatically, they're relegated with a game to go. That speaks volumes for what everyone's achieved.

"The game was a damp squib in the end. In the first half we were excellent and passed the ball around well, but we probably overplayed.

"We started out like a house on fire for the first five minutes and David Worrall was excellent again. But we just fizzled out and the longer the game went on, the worse it got."
