Shaun Harrad is hoping his season-long loan at League Two outfit Cheltenham will put a smile back on his face once again.
Harrad, 27, arrived from Bury on Friday after being told he would not figure in the starting line-up at the League One side this term.
When Cheltenham boss Mark Yates came calling, Harrad had no hesitation in dropping down a division for regular football.
"The call came from Cheltenham so it was a no-brainer for me," Harrad told the Gloucestershire Echo.
"I want to get back to my best, get a smile back on my face and I can bring goals and hard work to the side.
"I have seen for myself the football Cheltenham play and Russ Penn is a good mate of mine and he's spoken about the brand of football, so that attracted me here too."
