League One outfit Carlisle have signed striker Jordan Cook from Premier League side Sunderland on a month's loan.
Cook, 21, made his first-team debut in the Boxing Day clash against Manchester United in 2010, but has failed to appear for the Black Cats since.
Cumbrians manager Greg Abbott told the club's official website: "With the relationship we continue to build with Sunderland they know that this is a good place to send their players.
"The good thing with him is that he can play left or right within the system we use at the moment and we could even use him down the middle. He's very versatile, with good pace and has a great work ethic."
Cook follows in the footsteps of former Sunderland team-mate Liam Noble, who signed a two-and-a-half year contract for Carlisle last week following his loan spell at Brunton Park.
Cook came through Sunderland's youth system and has had loan spells at Darlington and Walsall during his time at the Stadium of Light.
