Kelvin Wilson insists there is no reason why Celtic cannot maintain the high standards set against Hearts in the 4-0 thumping on Wednesday.
Neil Lennon described the all-round performance as the best in his time as manager, and it sent Celtic four points clear of Old Firm rivals Rangers at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League while extending their winning run to 16 games.
Ahead of the visit of Inverness in the SPL on Saturday, the Celtic defender was asked if that type of powerhouse display can be replicated for the rest of the season.
"I don't see why not," said Wilson, happy to be back in the side after recovering from an Achilles injury. "Even when players go out, the players coming in are quality players.
"It was a great result against Hearts who are one of the better teams in Scotland so I don't see why we can't.
"I think there is more confidence in the team and we are gelling.
"But the confidence is the main thing. When you win games and play well you get confidence."
