Derby v Burnley preview

Team news ahead of Saturday's Championship clash between Derby County and Burnley at Pride Park.

Derby boss Nigel Clough hopes to have Nathan Tyson available for the game.

Tyson will continue to be monitored after the forward missed the 3-2 home win over Charlton on Tuesday night with a throat infection.

Teenage striker Mason Bennett returned to action on Wednesday as the Rams Under-21 side beat Huddersfield 2-0. The 16-year-old has been absent recently because of a thigh strain.

Both players will be hoping to force their way back into Clough's squad.

It is still too early for defender Mark O'Brien, though, who has resumed full training following a long-term knee injury.

O'Brien and club captain Shaun Barker, who will miss the entire season due to a serious knee injury sustained towards the end of the last campaign, are Derby's only absentees.

Burnley have top scorer Charlie Austin back in contention for the trip.

Austin hit a hat-trick last time out against Peterborough to move to seven goals from as many appearances this season, but the Clarets' star striker missed Wednesday's defeat to Leicester with a hip injury.

The former Swindon man is progressing well and will be put through a late fitness test alongside centre-back Michael Duff (Achilles), although the latter remains a major doubt.

Forward Danny Ings remains on the sidelines as he continues to recover from knee surgery.

Eddie Howe's men are still searching for a first point on their travels this term.

Dean Marney gave Burnley the lead at the King Power Stadium in midweek but the 2-1 reverse was their fourth in succession on the road including last season's 4-0 loss at Blackpool.
