Charlton Athletic appear to be sauntering towards promotion but manager Chris Powell is taking nothing for granted.
The Addicks are four points clear at the top of League One with a game in hand but Powell, who has now been in charge for a year, is mindful of the 11-game winless run which ended their hopes in the second half of last season.
"I had a very good start and then we had a really tough period where I needed to think about our future and my vision for this team," he said.
"We know it's an important season for us, the third season in League One.
"People were talking about what's happened in the past but I had to say it's about the future. We've got to create a new history and a new future for Charlton Athletic and we are endeavouring to do that.
"We are okay at the moment but there are 21 games to go and there is a lot that can happen and a lot that could change."
