Josh Low has praised Cheltenham manager Mark Yates' uncanny knack of finding the right players in the transfer market.

Midfielder Low is part of a Robins squad that has defied pre-season predictions of a relegation battle to sit top of npower League Two.

And the 32-year-old believes Yates deserves a lot of credit for hand-picking the quality additions who have helped the Robins' squad reach such lofty heights this term.

"He's got a very good eye for a player. He works hard searching for the right type of person to come into the squad," Low said. "He knows what kind of player and what kind of person to bring in and he's done that this season.

"He's a very good people manager as well and I think the lads respond to that.

"You can see that by the way we work for him and he's done a great job in getting the squad playing as we have been."
