Carlisle v Cheltenham preview

Carlisle boss Keith Curle is hoping defender Troy Archibald-Henville is available for the home game against relegation rivals Cheltenham.

Archibald-Henville is nursing an on-going knee problem and it remains to be seen whether he can cope with two games in four days.

Skipper Danny Grainger serves the second game of a two-match ban for reaching 10 yellow cards this season and both Brad Potts and Danny Kearns remain doubtful after missing Saturday’s defeat at Southend with respective leg injuries.

Curle must decide whether to retain on-loan goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel in his starting line-up or recall Dan Hanford in the continued absence of Mark Gillespie (groin).

New Cheltenham boss Russell Milton expects to have a full squad to choose from for the trip.

A first win in nine games means the squad will travel to Brunton Park with a new lease of life under the management of Milton.

He revealed that although new arrivals Matt Sparrow, Pablo Mills and Shaun Harrad have been short of matches, he expects them to be ready for a second game in four days.

A win could move the Robins four points clear of their opponents, who themselves are in a bad run of form.
