AFC Wimbledon will check on James Shea and George Francomb ahead of the visit of relegated Cheltenham.

Goalkeeper Shea and winger Francomb have been struggling with knocks this week but boss Neal Ardley is hopeful they will be fit.

Defender Callum Kennedy is the Dons’ only definite absentee due to a thigh problem.

Ardley says he will resist the temptation to blood a host of youngsters as he wants to finish the season on a high.

Cheltenham, by contrast, will give their youngsters a chance to shine when they make the trip.

With relegation out of the Football League already confirmed boss Gary Johnson, who penned a new two-year deal this week, will hand starts to a number of their young talents.

Bobbie Dale could make just his second appearance of the season, Harry Williams is back from a loan spell with Gloucester and is likely to be involved while Jamal Lawrence will hope to make his Robins debut.

Joe Hanks and Omari Sterling-James were both on the bench in the 1-0 defeat to Shrewsbury but could be in line for starts.

Barry Fuller has been declared fit for AFC Wimbledon’s home game against Cheltenham.

Fuller had to go off during the first half of last weekend’s 1-1 draw at Burton with a glute injury but he has been back in training since Tuesday and should be involved.

However, fellow defender Aaron Morris and winger Kevin Sainte-Luce are doubts with hamstring problems.

Full-back Callum Kennedy remains sidelined by an ankle injury while Rhys Weston (knee) and Charlie Strutton (broken leg) are out for the rest of the season.

Cheltenham hope Byron Harrison will be ready to start when they travel to AFC Wimbledon.

The Robins’ top scorer played for the final 35 minutes of Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Wycombe and grabbed the equaliser even though manager Mark Yates admitted the striker was not 100 per cent after struggling with a knock.

If Harrison is available to start he will hope to dislodge Jamie Cureton or Terry Gornell out of the starting line-up.

Midfielder David Noble continued his return to full match fitness with his third successive substitute appearance and will be involved once more.
