The 21-year-old had been on loan from the Hammers since the start of the season but has now penned a two-and-a-half year contract.

He has scored three goals in 20 games this season and has previously spent time on loan at AFC Wimbledon and Partick.

Moncur, the son of former Hammers midfielder John, also made two cup appearances for West Ham but failed to play in the Premier League.

He told West Ham’s official website of his exit: “There is some sadness about leaving West Ham because I was there for a good few years and I had some great times there.

“My Dad spent a few years there as well so I’ll miss it but I’ve got a new challenge in front of me now. I have got to thank the people at West Ham, especially Nick Haycock and Ian Hendon who spent a lot of time with me and improved my game.”
