TEAMtalk rates the performances of the Arsenal and Chelsea players after the Blues won 2-1 at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Arsenal:
VITO MANNONE: Could do little about Chelsea's opening goal and was flat-footed for Juan Mata's curling free-kick. 6
CARL JENKINSON: Right-back got forward well and helped set up equaliser. One of Arsenal's better performers on the day. 7
LAURENT KOSCIELNY: Nightmare day for the France defender, with poor positioning against Fernando Torres for Chelsea's goal, lucky not to give away a penalty and then helped Mata's free-kick into his own net. 5
THOMAS VERMAELEN: Gunners skipper given runaround by Juan Mata at times, but grew into the game. 6
KIERAN GIBBS: Offered plenty of support down the left, where he had plenty to do tracking Eden Hazard. 6
ABOU DIABY:. The France international had looked strong during the opening exchanges, creating space for a shot from 20 yards, before being replaced on 17 minutes by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with another injury worry. 6
MIKEL ARTETA: Linked up well with attack and had part in Arsenal's equaliser. Got better as game went on. 6
AARON RAMSEY: Combative display from the Wales captain, who took a few hefty challenges as well as dishing them out. 6
SANTI CAZORLA: Surprising low-key performance from the Spaniard, who had been so lively in other games this season. 5
LUKAS PODOLSKI: Took time to grow into the game, and the German almost made it 2-2 with a looping header before being replaced. 6
GERVINHO: Drilled in Arsenal's equaliser after losing maker John Terry in the six-yard box, but could have done more with his other chances. 7
Substitutes:
ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN (on for Diaby, 17): England winger again turned in another livewire display, setting up equaliser and stretching Chelsea down the flanks. 7
THEO WALCOTT (on for Ramsey, 66): Did little to make an impact, and often ran into a blue shirt when trying to get clear down the right. 5
OLIVIER GIROUD (on for Podolski, 67): France striker wasted a great chance to equalise in stoppage-time when he fired into the side netting as his Premier League goal drought goes on. 5
Chelsea:
PETR CECH: Excellent saves from Lukas Podolski and a ball that spun up off David Luiz. Helpless with the goal. 7
BRANISLAV IVANOVIC: Did not really get forward but rock solid at the back. 7
DAVID LUIZ: Booked for diving but otherwise one of his better Chelsea displays, especially defensively. Forced off with an injury. 7
JOHN TERRY: Typically unflustered after his week from hell but was probably at fault for Arsenal's goal. 7
ASHLEY COLE: Had a lot to cope with down his side with Carl Jenkinson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but did well. 7
JON OBI MIKEL: Did what he does best - grafted. 6
RAMIRES:. Continues to show dynamism in the holding role that puts a real question mark over Frank Lampard's future but was booked late on. 7
OSCAR: Sprightly but not particularly incisive. Booked for persistent fouling. 6
EDEN HAZARD: Bright start but faded. Needs to cut out the unnecessary tricks and start thinking about how he can better support Torres. 6
JUAN MATA: His break has done him the world of good. Another goal and another assist in a Man-of-the-Match show. 8
FERNANDO TORRES: Superb finish for his goal and bullied Laurent Koscielny all afternoon. But still lacking confidence in the final third. 7
Substitutes:
VICTOR MOSES (on for Oscar, 73): Can consider himself unlucky not to start but came on and did another good job. 6
GARY CAHILL (on for Luiz, 81): Slotted in comfortably alongside Terry. 6
RYAN BERTRAND (on for Mata, 85): Brilliant skill almost helped Chelsea kill the game. 6
