Spector, part band, part pop think-tank, follow the success of their singles - 'Chevy Thunder', 'Celestine', and their latest epic 'Never Fade Away' - with their eagerly awaited debut album 'Enjoy It While It Lasts', released on August 13th through Fiction /Luv Luv Luv Records. Their singles have regularly featured on goal montages over recent months and we have copies of the new album up for grabs!
Fred Macpherson, Christopher Burman, Thomas Shickle, Danny Blandy and Gorgeous 'Jed' Cullen worked with six producers spanning three generations of British music, including Trevor Horn, Craig Silvey and Tom Vek.
'Enjoy It While It Lasts' is an album Spector always wanted to hear as much as make, one that pays equal part homage to the noughties guitar revival that soundtracked their teens, and the seventies and eighties chart compilations that littered their family homes growing up. It's a party record, a recklessly romantic retelling of the first kiss and the last great weekend, riddled with a neurotic yearning for that impossible balance between timelessness and instant gratification. This is an LP of great ambition, curtailed only by the bandwidth of the digital attention span.
