Caretaker boss Craig Brewster says Crawley have a "great chance" of automatic promotion after a comfortable 3-1 victory over Northampton.
First-half goals from Scott Neilson, Billy Clarke and an own goal by goalkeeper Neal Kitson extended Crawley's unbeaten run to 12 games, edging them ahead of fourth-placed Torquay on goal difference.
Town have won two and drawn one of three matches since Steve Evans' move to Rotherham, and Brewster feels the time has come for his players to deliver with three matches remaining.
He said: "We have got three matches left and we have got to try to win them as we have a great a chance of automatic promotion.
"That is what is at stake and we have got to deliver. We have got good momentum, are in a good position and it's all about holding on to the position we are now in."
