Crewe assistant Neil Baker is targeting five new players as they prepare for life in League One following their play-off final success.
The Railwaymen's fine end-of-season form culminated in a 2-0 victory over Cheltenham at Wembley which secured their promotion, and Baker is already focusing on strengthening Steve Davis' squad this summer.
He told Alex's official website: "We have had agents on already and had players pushed towards us. I think they think because we have been promoted that we can offer more wages but that won't necessarily be the case.
"It has been difficult to plan anything because we didn't know what division we were going to be playing in until last Sunday, so we are playing catch-up a bit but our targets and the positions we want to fill will be similar to if we haven't been promoted."
Baker wants the club to target a new left-back while also providing another attacking option to complement Max Clayton,
AJ Leitch-Smith and Shaun Miller.
He added: "I suppose being promoted means we will be offered a better calibre of players."
