Crewe chairman John Bowler hopes more local fans will flock to Gresty Road next season following the club's promotion to League One.
The Railwaymen set a club record 19-game unbeaten run at the end of last season, culminating in their 2-0 win over Cheltenham in the League Two play-off final and Bowler feels interest in Steve Davis' young side is growing fast.
Bowler told the club's official website: "There is a great enthusiasm and interest in the club around the town and it's important that we try and build on that."
Bowler added: "Obviously we recognise that we're competing with the Premier League brand and television, but we've seen from the 14,000 or so that went to Wembley that there are a lot of people in the local area who are keen on football.
"That's our challenge. We want more people to come along and support their local team. We want them to see the excitement that we can bring with a promising young team and with the number of kids we're prepared to play.
"Hopefully now there will be more with an interest in what we're trying to do. What Steve and the players achieved last season was phenomenal. The youngsters came through and you see them become men almost overnight."
