Darlington defender Ian Miller is doubtful for the Quakers' midweek League Two clash at relegation battlers Cheltenham Town.

Centre-half Miller, who played through the pain barrier in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth, is struggling with a hernia.

Manager Simon Davey is short of defenders, with Andrew Milne struggling with a back injury and Paul Arnison ruled out due to a hamstring strain, so Mark Bower could return to the starting line-up.

Davey recalled Simon Madden to right-back over the weekend and he is likely to continue, but teenage striker Curtis Main has been ruled out for the season with ankle ligament damage.

Mor Diop offers a fresh approach up front for Davey, who opted for a 4-5-1 formation at Bournemouth, with Tadgh Purcell operating as a lone striker.
