Tisdale: Feels fans' pain

Exeter boss Paul Tisdale says he understands the frustration felt by fans who travelled to Cheltenham at the weekend.

Nearly 1,000 Grecians fans made the two-hour journey for the first meeting between Exeter and Cheltenham in 10 years, but three second-half goals saw City comfortably beaten 3-0 to slip down to 11th in League Two.

"The fans came in their numbers, and we are very grateful for their continued support. It's frustrating for us all, them included," Tisdale told Exeter's official website.

"They were fantastic again and it is very hard for me to not feel for them because of the effort and the money they afford towards supporting us.

"I hope the fans can see the spirit and effort that we are playing with and trust us to isolate and eradicate some of the issues we've got."

Exeter travel to Gigg Lane on Saturday for their third FA Cup meeting with Bury in six seasons.
