Cummins up for FA Cup clash

The first-round tie will be live on television and Cummins will use his past experiences to help stay focused against the non-league outfit.

“If we perform to our maximum ability, we should go through from the tie – there’s no sugar coating around it, everyone expects it,” he told Grecian Player.

“But we will have to be up for it, because I’ve played in games where I’ve been the underdog and come through it.

“Last year, I was at Rochdale when we beat Leeds 2-0 and it probably should have been 5-0 – and you could just see that the Leeds players’ mentality wasn’t as good as ours.

“I’m sure Warrington have been looking forward to it since the draw was made, but we’re training like we’re going to be playing a league game at the weekend – we’re taking it extremely seriously.

“We don’t have a good record in the FA Cup recently and this is a fantastic opportunity to get into the second round.”
