Despite losing the London derby to Chelsea, Tottenham FanZoner Nik Wardle was not too disheartened.
Tottenham held their own against Blues
Whereas Saturday's defeat against Chelsea was a disappointing result, what pleased me was that we did show some character. Hopefully this is a sign the players are warming to AVB.
Chelsea played very well on Saturday. They looked inventive - but when you pay £25m, £35m or even £50m for players, it is what you should expect. Despite the craft of Hazard, Mata and Oscar, we managed to stay in the game and came close to levelling things late on with Walker's drive.
excellent
It saddens me that he appears to have received some abuse on Twitter - he's largely been excellent for us over the last year or so and deserves the backing of every Spurs fan.
Bale's absence was headline news - but with Assou-Ekotto, Kaboul, Parker and Dembele also missing, we did pretty well to match up to Chelsea.
It's often after a defeat that you learn most about your players and Spurs have the perfect chance to regain momentum against Southampton on Sunday.
Although they have some neat and tidy attacking players, they're pretty woeful in defence. There will be goals in this one and as long as Bale shows up, I'm confident more will go into their net.
