A gifted midfielder who is widely regarded as one of the most talented players to grace the Swiss national side, Cabanas has the ability to light up Euro 2008.

However, after a promising start two forays into the bright lights of Europe's big leagues with Guingamp and FC Koln have seen him endure disappointing, short lived spells.

Returning to his roots with Grasshoppers in the summer of 2007 Cabanas appears to have rediscovered his form at just the right time.
