Germany coach Joachim Low has warned captain Michael Ballack of the 'consequences' should he again voice his views of the national team to the media.
On Tuesday, Ballack explained his reasoning behind his criticism of Low's handling of veterans in the side, insisting he only wanted to 'shake things up'.
However, this explanation has threatened to reignite another spat between the pair, with Germany legend Franz Beckenbauer admitting he was 'speechless' at the Chelsea midfielder's latest comments.
Low has suggested Ballack choose his words carefully in the future or risk facing another meeting with his manager.
"Michael is entitled to his opinion and to express criticism," Low told German tabloid Bild on Wednesday.
"But he will not make them known publicly, there you can be quite sure, because he knows what the consequences would be."
