Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby is aiming to force his way back into the France squad so he can learn from his role model Patrick Vieira.
Diaby is now back in the Arsenal team after he missed the opening two months of the season with a thigh problem.
The 22-year-old has impressed in recent games for the Gunners and now has his sights set on an international recall.
He has two senior caps for France to his name and is eager to be given a chance to play alongside former Arsenal captain Vieira.
"I have a desire and ambition to get back in the French team," Diaby told Le 10 Sport.
"I know there is a lot of competition in midfield, notably from Patrick Vieira, who is my role model.
"I have a lot of things to learn from him."
