Roman Bednar is hoping to earn a recall to the Czech Republic squad.
The West Brom striker has just one cap to his name which came back in 2006.
Now playing in the Premier League, Bednar is being looked at by coach Petr Rada with a view to a call-up.
Rada was at The Hawthorns to see Bednar score in the 2-2 draw with Blackburn, although the 25-year-old was critical of his own display.
"I am not happy as in the same situation five minutes before I had not scored," Bednar said.
Bednar confirmed that he did not speak with Rada after the game, saying: "No, we did not speak with each other."
But the Baggies ace did insist he was still hopeful of getting the call from Rada.
"I have been waiting for two years and I am ready to play for my country all the time," he continued.
"I feel good. Having in mind that it is my first Premier League season, I think it has been good so far."

Rada admitted he will be keeping an eye on Bednar.
"Roman is high quality, no doubt about that," Rada told CTK.
"He is an interesting player who is worth watching. A goal is up in the air if he is on the pitch.
"He needs to be consistent in his form. I will certainly come to watch him again."
