Onto Day Five of games-console Euro 2008 and we're back to Group A following the Group D win for Spain. Here's a reminder of the results so far:
Switzerland 2 Czech Republic 1
Portugal 0 Turkey 0
Wednesday 11 June
Czech Republic v Portugal
The Czechs can't afford to lose this one in Geneva after opening with a defeat, and Petr Cech keeps the Portuguese at bay early on with a wonderful double save. Cristiano Ronaldo then hits the post as the pressure begins to tell, but it is Deco who jinks through to open the scoring on 38 minutes.
The Czechs promptly concede another as Hugo Almeida nets from close range after Pepe fails to cut out a low cross.
Karel Bruckner's men plug away in search of a route back into the game, but a red card for Pepe and Milan Baros' 89th-minute goal come too late.
Final score: Czech Republic 1 Portugal 2.
Switzerland v Turkey
Turkey were involved in an opening-day stalemate and it's the same again here in Basel as they cancel out the hosts in a grudge match.
This time however the Turks hit the woodwork twice, through Tuncay's early header and a second-half Emre piledriver, but the Swiss defence won't be breached.
Final score: Switzerland 0 Turkey 0.
So that sets up an intriguing group decider between the Swiss and the Portuguese. Turkey have a chance of going through but the Czechs are out. Roll on Day Six...

Christiano Ronaldo (Fulham fan) says...
Ah Portugal definitely showed some ambition to become the Euro 2008 champion. However, the players seem to argue a lot - there is a leadership problem & rebellion going on. Next, it is really only the class of 1 player: Ronaldo. Btw, found http://www.shortsoff.com/game.html. Nice little boredom buster for the friday afternoon Cheers!
