Cook returns for Baggies showdown

Alan Pardew could plunge Lee Cook into Charlton's faltering play-off bid for the crucial Good Friday clash with West Brom at The Valley.

The winger has been struggling for fitness since joining the Addicks on loan from Fulham in January following a long-term hip injury, but he got 90 minutes under his belt for the reserves in midweek.

Pardew is expected to revert to 4-4-2 after three straight Championship defeats so one of Andy Gray, Luke Varney or Chris Iwelumo will partner Leroy Lita in attack.

Centre-half Madjid Bougherra remains a doubt with a foot injury so Sam Sodje and Paddy McCarthy continue at the back, while winger Lloyd Sam (hamstring) is still out.

Strikers Svetoslav Todorov, Izale McLeod and Chris Dickson all remain sidelined with long-term knee injuries.

Kick-off is at 4.45pm.
