Coyle set to ring changes in cup

Burnley boss Owen Coyle has pledged to make changes for Tuesday night's Carling Cup second round clash with Hartlepool at Victoria Park.

Last season's semi-finalists will include Chris Eagles and Steve Thompson amongst others, while Brian Jensen could also stand down.

The Clarets are coming into the game on the back of successive Premier League wins over Manchester United and Everton but skipper Steven Caldwell (groin) is again ruled out.
