Gillespie banned for Foxes clash

Colchester will again be without Steven Gillespie when they go in search of their first win at home against Leicester on Tuesday evening.

The £400,000 striker serves the final game of the three-match ban he picked up for his sending-off at Crewe a fortnight ago.

Left-back Matt Lockwood is the Us' only other absentee after having an injection in his knee last week in a bid to cure tendinitis.

Caretaker manager Kit Symons could therefore stick with the side which earned him a 4-3 win at Tranmere on Friday night in his first game in charge.

On-loan Gary Borrowdale made a successful debut at the back, while Clive Platt played on his own up front with support from widemen Johnnie Jackson and Mark Yeates.
