The Dragons were poor and could only look on as Lee Thorpe hit the post with a header from a Ryan Dickson set piece, before the home side went ahead against the run of play on 41 minutes.

A long ball found Sam Aiston and his cross was nodded back across by Neil Roberts for a grateful Chris Llewellyn to head home.

The Bees should have been level after just 60 seconds, when Shaun Pejic was adjudged to have felled Dickson in the area, but Anthony Williams palmed away Thorpe's weak spot-kick.

The Bees put the pressure on after the break and it was no surprise when Connell nodded in the equaliser from Ricky Shakes' 66th-minute cross.

And the visitors went ahead on 71 minutes when a miss-hit Gary Smith centre was turned into his own net by the unlucky Steve Evans - his second own goal in as many games - before Connell smacked home the third after his initial effort had hit a post.
