The 16-year-old is an England youth international and he has accepted the offer to move to Fratton Park.

Pompey will pay the Baggies compensation for the young defender.

"He is a promising right-back who our recruitment officer Alan Miller chased rigorously," said Pompey's academy coach Ian Woan.

"He's got a lot of work to do but he can handle a football, he's quick and he's intelligent.

"We're all looking forward to with working with him."
