Bullard pledges to stay at Fulham

Midfielder Jimmy Bullard has pledged to stay at Fulham despite constant speculation linking him with a move away from Craven Cottage.

Bullard's future at the club has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks with Fulham refusing to enter into talks over a new contract.

Wigan, Bolton and Everton have both expressed an interest in the midfielder, but Bullard says he wants to stay at the London club.

"I love Fulham Football Club and I want to stay here and play for Fulham," Bullard told the club's official website.

Bullard has battled back from a serious knee injury which sidelined him for over a year and he admits he feared he may be forced to hang up his boosts.

"Now I'm playing I'm just enjoying every minute of it," added Bullard. "I know how close I was to not being able to play again to be honest so every time I step on that pitch I just try and enjoy 90 minutes of football.

"At one point it was 'have another operation or hang your boots up'. I stuck in there and did the rehab and I can't thank the surgeon, Dr. Steadman enough. He got my leg back to where it was and if not stronger.

"I did the rehab properly, which was hard graft but I'm out there playing again now. This is what you play football for - to beat the likes of Arsenal on your own pitch."

"give him a new contract!!!!!!"

Ianner (Bolton Wanderers fan)

"I don't mind this from a player. It would be nice now if Fulham would offer him the contract he wishes since he wants to be loyal to the club. Look at the Kevin Phillips saga with WBA which was disgustingly handled by that club. "
