Chelsea winger Salomon Kalou has revealed he is a keen admirer of Arsenal before adding he will consider his future at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old has failed to nail down a regular starting berth this season but has benefited from Joe Cole's absence through injury by starting Guus Hiddink's first two games in charge.
The Ivory Coast international has scored nine times in all competitions this term and set-up striker Didier Drogba for the only goal of the game in their Champions League last 16 tie against Juventus at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.
But after his recent comments the former Feyenoord ace could find his place in jeopardy.
"Wenger said he thought of signing me? That's an honour for me, an honour," he told Setanta. "Because he is a very great coach and I know that every single player in the world dreams of playing for him.
"I have a lot of respect for him, he is one of the best coaches in the world so why not?
"I am still under contract with Chelsea but of course I have plenty of friends who play for Arsenal in Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Eboue and Emmanuel Adebayor.
"They are achieving huge things at Arsenal and watching them play is just beautiful."
With just 12 starts to his name in the Premier League this campaign Kalou is aware of the challenge that he faces if he is to hold on to his first-team place until the end of the season.
"You are never guaranteed to be in the Chelsea starting XI," he added.
"Every single player fights to earn his place, including me, and the coach is the one that has the final word.
"At the present I'm happy at Chelsea and I hope that the things that I want to happen will happen.
"I will think of my future once the season is over."

"Don't know why Kalouless is admiring 5th place Arsenal when he should be 100% focused on Chelsea. "You are never guaranteed to be in the Chelsea starting XI" - What? Cech, Terry, Ricky, Lampard ALWAYS start when they are fit, because they have PROVEN themselves to be quality, consistent players. Maybe he needs to grow a brain before he can secure a regular starting place in our 1st XI..."

"i don't know why chelsea fans are mad at kalou the boy is just puting things the way they should be.clearly he doesn't see any future in those old chelsea players who unfortunately are there to stay for abramo has no money.i can see the angle he is viewing his future but thax kalou we hve so many wingers plse try the boring liverpool when gerrald finall goes to jail."

"Some Top 4 teams fans really don't know how lucky they have it... These glory supporters which have helped your club thrive are also becoming a hinderance. They expect too much on a constant basis and don't look at the bigger picture."

"ScouseGrouse, Liverpool fan: You are not excactly title challengers yourself either. Remember, last season we were leading and could have won it. We didn't and I am aware. But don't come here being mr. bigshot as your own team has not won a league title in almost two decades. You fluked a CL I give you that, but you are not going to win a EPL title anytime soon. Think about that, and we'll worry about ourselves from now on."

"personally i think wenger is doing a very good job in the economic side at arsenal.he's not winning any trophies, yet.but he's getting the club out of its debts in a very fashiionable way.
as a football fan,i think anyone would admire wenger's way..."

"Thanks Realfriendlyman for a completely irrelevant post. Purely in response to your comment:
- Arsenal have been saying their investment in youth will pay off for years. Will success ever materialise? Especially when most of you good players will be leaving soon (Cesc to Barca, Gallas sure to leave, Adebayor to Milan etc)
- Did you really make that prediction or are you jumping on the bandwagon?
- Do you really think Chelsea will never spend again? Or that Arsenal will purchases so much better that they will actually make a title challenge?
- Will Wenger stay any longer when despite rising profits he still gets no money?
- And regardless of what happens with football, your username is incredibly ominous...hope you're not too friendly :O
Back to Kalou:
Firstly, what an idiot! Only complete stupidity would lead someone to say they want to play for one of theri clubs' main rivals
Secondly, as Obama said, he wouldn't get in the Arsenal team if their first XI are fit and the same goes for when Joe Cole is back. I hope Queresma makes an impact and replaces Kalou. He's lost all my respect and blind faith after those comments.
I bid you all adieu."

"Goonerooner he aint a winger hes a striker who's because of his pace has been forced to play on the left having said that thier are also alot fo strikers at arsneal"

"I used to actually like Chelsea until there fans turned to idiots because a billionaire bought them out in hope of turning them into something special overnight and then hold back in order to make a long term profit.
I predicted this would happen a long time ago, Chelsea have always said they're in this for long term profit and considering they've spent £100's of millions, Mourinho was the main manager that benefitted and every manager since and for the foreseeable future will have financial constraints.
It's a shame that an aging squad won't get much change in the transfer market, so expect to see your side struggling every season in order to play catch up on debt, while Arsenal are turning into the richest team in the world with shrewd purchases."
barakObama
"He will be lucky if he ends up playing his football at Arsenal OR Chelsea next season, He wouldn't get into either team if the whole squad was fully fit."
