Robinho's father admits his son's future at Manchester City is far from certain, amid growing speculation he could join Barcelona in January.
The Brazi forward has been linked on a number of occasions with a move to Barcelona, and the player himself has hinted at his desire to play for the Catalans at some point in the future.
Robinho's father Gilvan da Souza, who is also the player's agent, refused to confirm that his son would be leaving Eastlands, although he did say that there is interest from Barca.
"We are waiting for Manchester City to tell us something about the future of my son," he told Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
"I am very aware of what is said and published in Barcelona in relation to my son.
"Until the two clubs do agree and we officially have a decision, we must keep them guessing.
"Robinho is a professional who is bound to City, with whom he has a contract, but if your club (Barca) agrees, the choice is very exciting. Let's see."
The former Real Madrid star is currently sidelined with an ankle injury and is the subject of a club-v-country row as Brazil want him to link up with the squad for upcoming friendlies against England and Oman, despite City's objections.
"Now it is important to know that Robinho is fully recovered from his injury," da Souza added.
"He has a very important game on the 14th in Qatar with Brazil against England and then on the 17th in Oman.
"These meetings should help strengthen our bid for the World Cup."

"Let's see what Robbi is like when he returns from injury. You don't get selected to play for Brazil if you are a rubbishy player. This guy is a very good player - unfortunately for him he has been paired up with Plonker Bridge down the left side. Robbi makes things happen. I'd be sad to see him go - just as I was when Elano left."

"Bye bye, see you in La Liga in January, if not then May... The only danger is that Barca may finally realise he's useless and may even decide not to buy him !! LOOOOOL..."

"RM usually rid themselves of average and/or problem children. This one is overall an average player with a big ego and a greedy mentality behind him. I'm so happy CFC failed to sign him, that was our good luck. Were is Mark Hughes these days? Don't see any more half-wit defenses of his baby (big one at that) - Robi?"

"who the hell cares what his dad thinks, he just wants the barcelona life as its better than the manchester one, anyway its not a waste of money we can afford it unlike loserfool who have to spend 1.5 m on a rangers flop lol"

"If he was class Real would not have sold him for all the tea in China, a fact. Watched him many times in Spain, he was average. Always shows glimpses of excellences but it not class. Rafael took him to the cleaners last year so early in his career, half decent players take him out."

"he dared those who tried to say the truth when he joined man city. He joined them because of their money and nothing else. Thank God he had realized that fulfillment is also important. People like PELE had been proven right by the latest develpoment... "
