Mbia open to Premier League move

Marseille midfielder Stephane Mbia - a reported target of Everton, Wigan and Sunderland - has admitted he remains open to a move to England.

M'Bia was close to joining Stoke in the summer but decided against a move to the Britannia Stadium despite flying to England for talks.

However, the Cameroonian now admits a switch to the Premier League is a possibility - but says a transfer is more likely in the summer than during the January transfer window as his main focus is on helping Marseille win the Ligue 1 title.

He said: "My future? I am a Marseille player so far. Only my performances will allow me to unpack my bags somewhere else in the future.

"I am only focused on winning titles at L'OM so far. We will see at the end of the season.

"Our objective is very clear: win Le Championnat and I am absolutely convinced we can make it."

Mr_Tate (Sunderland fan)

"No thanks, would rather have Cana and Cattermol in the middle with the star in the making Henderson as back up. Mbia just strikes me as the typical stereotypical greedy foreigner, whys he only played 7 times for Marseille this season and why is he talking up a move already?"

Goodison1

"The question is . would DM look to recruit him or look for better quality as the quality in the squad is much higher now than when we first thought about him"
