Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is being backed to rediscover his scoring touch by his strike partner Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Argentina international has struggled to find the target since his high-profile move from Old Trafford in the summer.
He had to settle for a place on the bench on Saturday in the draw against Liverpool after scoring only three goals in the Premier League this season.
Tevez last found the net at Premier League level back in September with a double in the victory over his former club West Ham.
His only other goal came in the Carling Cup defeat of Championship side Scunthorpe.
However Tevez showed good form in the second half at Anfield and team-mate Adebayor believes the goals will not be long in coming.
Adebayor told City's website: "We all know how good Carlos is - he was 100 per cent professional when he came on, fighting for the team in defence, keeping the ball and making it easier for me.
"People may be asking why he has not scored a lot of goals, but he's one of the best around.
"He's got the desire and we know what a talented player he is, he just needs a bit more confidence to start scoring goals."
Defender Kolo Toure could face Hull on Saturday despite going off at the weekend. He was forced to miss the second half because of a back problem.
However City's medical team say Toure has made a good recovery and there is not expected to be any lasting problem.
Midfielder Martin Petrov could be back in training by the end of the week after a knee injury while Sylvinho's calf problem has cleared up.

"Tevez complained of siting on the bench at Old Trafford where he was assured of titles, CL, to choose to sit on the City bench where he will win absolutely nothing.
You were ill-advised Tevez, poor soul!
