Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has agreed a deal to stay at Craven Cottage - and Brede Hangeland is also set to commit his future to the club.
Hodgson's current deal expires at the end of the season and he recently turned down approaches from Sweden and Norway about a return to international management.
Club lawyers are currently putting the paperwork together on a rolling contract for the 62-year-old former Blackburn and Inter Milan boss, who guided the club into the Europa League this season.
"I spoke to the chairman and it's not been a difficult discussion," Hodgson said. "I can't put a timescale on it but we are basically in agreement.
"It seems everyone is keen for me to stay and I've always made it perfectly clear I'm happy to stay here.
"I've never made any secret of the fact I'm enjoying the club here. It's just a question now of putting the contract discussions onto paper. The clubs lawyers are looking at it and I'll get someone to look at it from my side. Hopefully all will be well and I'll be able to stay longer."
Hangeland has previously been linked with a move away from Fulham but the centre-back is also close to signing a new deal.
Hodgson said: "It's been sorted out and my information is that we will both sign very, very shortly.
"I'm delighted. It's been one of the factors for me as well, we have spent two years working very hard putting a team together here and working with the group of players. If I'm going to stay I'm hoping some of these players stay as well and give us success."
